Why FXCM's UK clients and Trade Nation are a natural fit

FXCM has offered online FX and CFD trading in the UK since 1999, building a large community of experienced traders. Trade Nation, founded in 2014 and headquartered in London, focuses exclusively on spread betting and CFDs.

Jon Noble, Chief Executive Officer of Trade Nation, said: "FXCM's UK clients are exactly the traders we built Trade Nation for: experienced people who know precisely what they want from a broker."

How the transfer is being managed

Moving an established client book from one broker to another is about more than accounts and balances. Traders need clarity on what's changing and continuity in how they trade.

Trade Nation and FXCM have worked together on a transition plan built around three priorities:

  • Client focus: the transfer has been designed around the best interests of traders.
  • Continuity: the plan is designed to keep disruption to a minimum, so clients can keep trading with as little interruption as possible.
  • Clarity: clients will be kept informed at each stage, with a single source of up-to-date information at tradenation.com/fxcm.

Brendan Callan, Chief Executive Officer, Stratos Group (Tradu and FXCM), said " “Our priority throughout has been finding the right home for our UK clients. Trade Nation stood out for its platforms and its service culture, and we are confident our clients will be well looked after.”

Looking ahead

The acquisition builds on Trade Nation's experience of managing client transfers and strengthens its position in its home market. As Jon Noble put it: "This is a significant step for Trade Nation, and there is more to come."
